Vodena Draga offers a variety of adventures in nature. From scenic hikes to thrilling bike rides, this is a perfect place for outdoor lovers. Start your day on the Lipski Bridge Trail, strolling alongside the historic Dobra River, crossing ancient lindens, and passing the iconic bridge. For a bit more adrenaline, try the Karlovac Forest Loop, a moderate biking route through gentle hills and inspiring views. Don’t miss the Družac Mountain Trail with its breathtaking panoramas.
Exploring further, you’ll find caves and river sources that are ideal for discovery. The region’s water is some of the cleanest in Croatia and Europe, with several spots where you can fill your bottle from the natural groundwater. This abundance of fresh water is thanks to the area’s rich underground rivers, including one that flows directly through our village of Vodena Draga itself!

Karlovac County is a region with rich history and culture. Just a short drive away from Meraki, explore Frankopan Castle in Bosiljevo, a medieval fortress from the early 15th century. The Ruins of Steljnik Castle offer another glimpse into Croatia’s past, perfect for those drawn to historic, lesser-known spots.
Karlovac’s Friday Flea Market in the Main Square brings local people, vintage pieces, and handmade items into one vibrant place. The Nikola Tesla Experience Center is also nearby, where you can learn about the life and work of one of history’s greatest inventors.
For a UNESCO World Heritage site, head 80 km further to the Plitvice Lakes. These stunning lakes and waterfalls are a must-see for visitors, showcasing Croatia’s natural beauty and heritage.

We even stock some essentials at Meraki Eco-Camping, while the nearest supermarket is just a 5-minute drive or a 30-minute walk away.

WATER ACTIVITITES
Meraki is perfectly positioned for water-based adventures, with four nearby rivers providing good spots for swimming, stand-up paddleboarding (SUP), kayaking, and canoeing. Rentals are available with us or nearby, making it easy for you to explore the pristine waters at your own pace. With such clear water, this area is considered one of the cleanest regions in Croatia, offering exceptional places to cool off, relax, and connect with nature.
